The drainage- and emergency overflow systems must together ensure the drainage of the over-five-minute long rainfall that is to be anticipated at the building site once every hundred years.
The drainage capacity of the emergency overflows is determined by the difference between the hundred-year rainfall (heavy rainfall) and the maximum drainage capacity of the siphonic system.
